Your keys, your choice of model for every kind of work, Claude for the thinking by default. SHAI's own reasoning runs on Claude on your own Anthropic key: its agent runs through the Claude Agent SDK and its live conversation through Anthropic's own Messages API, and each of those runs only Claude. The bulk work — extracting, summarising, classifying, first drafts and checks — runs on whichever model you choose, on your own OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, Grok (xAI) or Perplexity key, and web research with cited sources can run on your own Perplexity key. SHAI does not claim to run its own reasoning on any model you like, because nothing it is built on can.
